How to play

Bubbles rise from the bottom of the screen and you have 30 seconds to pop as many as you can. Tap or click a bubble to burst it, with bigger bubbles worth up to 5 points each. Anything you miss drifts off the top and is gone for good. Rack up the highest total before the timer hits zero.

Tips

• Big bubbles pay the most points and are the easiest to hit, so burst them first.
• Every bubble rises at its own speed. Pick off the fast movers before they escape.
• Missed taps cost nothing, so keep your fingers busy instead of lining up perfect shots.
• A new bubble spawns about every half second. Work low on the screen where bubbles have the longest left to live.

Where the points are

Bubbles are worth between two and five points depending on size, and the bigger a bubble the slower it tends to rise, so the highest value targets are also the easiest ones to hit. That is the whole tension of a 30 second round: the temptation is to chase whatever is closest, but a deliberate player who prioritises large bubbles will outscore a fast one who pops indiscriminately.

Anything you miss drifts off the top and is gone, so there is a real cost to hesitation, but the cost is not equal across bubbles. Losing a two pointer is minor. Losing a five pointer is a fifth of a good round.

Higher totals

• Biggest first. A five point bubble is worth as much as two and a half small ones and takes one tap.
• Work from the bottom of the screen upward. Bubbles start at the bottom, so that is where the new targets are and where you have the most time.
• Do not chase a small bubble that is already near the top. The seconds it costs are worth more elsewhere.
• Each bubble has its own speed. A slow riser can be left for a moment while you clear something that is about to escape.
• Two thumbs on a phone. There is no reason to pop one at a time.
